What: Emma Smith and Sally Knight had still not been confirmed as members of the church. Joseph went to get some wine for the sacrament, when a heavenly messenger told him that he should not buy strong drinks, and that it does not matter what you use for the sacrament as long as the sacrament is taking with an eye single to the glory of God.

What: Hiram Page, a member of the church, claimed to have a stone that gave him heavenly revelations. He had convinced others in the church that these revelations were real. The Lord told Joseph and Oliver that only Joseph received revelations for the Church, and that Hiram Page had been deceived by Satan. Also, Oliver is called to preach to the Lamanites.
